SAC Honors Academy Earns National Recognition

The SAC Honors Academy was recently recognized by Excelencia in Education, a national organization, for making a significant impact on Latino students at 圣安东尼奥 大学 and in our community. 

根据 the organization, the Honors Academy is a very compelling program which earned recognition as “Honorable Mention.” With this recognition, a summary of the program will be highlighted in the “2018 What Works for Latino Student Success in Higher Education Compendium.”

The SAC Honors Academy is open to high school graduates and college freshmen with less than 15 credits. Students accepted into the program are matched with faculty mentors, receive one-on-one advising, and become part of a focused learning community. This year, a total of 139 nominations were received from 27 states, Washington D.C. 和波多黎各. There were 21 finalists, 20 programs to watch, and 7 honorable mentions.
